Entertainment at Crystals at CityCenter
In addition to the daily exhibits and events that take place in Crystals at CityCenter, guests have the unique opportunity to visit art installations throughout the facility and the entire CityCenter Campus. Glacia (link to Glacia blog) One of the five cutting-edge water features found in CityCenter is Glacia. A first-of-its-kind installation, large pillars of carved ice rise as tall as 15 feet in Crystals’ unique public space. These columns emerge silently from a pristine pool, ascending rapidly upward as immense monoliths of frozen water. As each ice monument rises, it is carved at water level into intricate, three-dimensional patterns. Colored lighting combines with the varied ice clarities to produce a visual experience that never repeats itself. Halo (link to Halo blog) Another of Crystals at CityCenter’s wonderful water features, Halo offers a visual display of multiple water vortexes’ within clear cylinders protruding through the floor. Set at different heights, the swirling whirlpools are accented by an array of colorful lights and welcome guests to walk through and touch this maze while staying completely dry. The Treehouse ((link to Treehouse blog) The awe-inspiring Treehouse in the heart of Crystals at CityCenter rises up three stories in height and is visible from almost ever location. The “roots” of the tree intertwine to for the Concierge Desk, where an expert staff serves as fashion consultants, personal shoppers and more. The upper level of the Treehouse provides an elegant portal of wood-lined lowered ceilings and meandering walls offering a unique space for Mastro’s Ocean Club’s main dining room. The expansive interior of the Treehouse features curved white leather booths and mahogany beams and Sapele wood. On the dining terrace, Mastro’soffers views of the angular shapes, towering ceilings and the unique artistic elements of Crystals at CityCenter. The Grand Staircase (link to Grand Staircase blog) The focal point of Crystals at CityCenter’s signature spaces is the Grand Staircase, inspired by Rome’s Spanish Steps. It consists of three separate staircases, all dresses with redSapele wood. Ascending 24 feet from the main floor to The Pods by Wolfgang Puck, the stairs are build from eco-friendly bamboo and uses risers of pink agate that are backlit for maximum visual effect. CityCenter’s Unparalleled Fine Art Collection (link to CityCenter Art Collection blog) CityCenter presents the first major permanent collection of art in Las Vegas to be integrated into a public space, and one of the world’s largest and most ambitious corporate art collections in existence today. The CityCenterFine Art Collection features works by acclaimed artists, sculptors and visionaries including Maya Lin, Jenny Holzer, Nancy Rubins, Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen, Frank Stella, Henry Moore and Richard Long, among others.
